Location and transport

You can walk to Tesco in about 20 minutes via a shared pedestrian and cycle pathway. Surrey Sports Park is located on our Manor Park campus, which is about a 30-minute walk from the Stag Hill campus.

You can also ride the designated University bus routes (1 and 2) from Stag Hill to both Tesco and Manor Park.

The journey takes about seven minutes and buses run up to every 10 minutes through the University campuses on weekdays and every 15–20 minutes on Saturdays and Sundays. The night bus operates six nights per week, Monday to Saturday.

You can either walk 10 minutes into town or take any of the University bus routes which stop at the Friary Bus Station in town.

It’s a popular place to live due to being directly opposite the Students’ Union, but you can also find Hillside Restaurant, our beautiful lake and Starbucks almost on your doorstep.

You can also find services and facilities such as ATMs, a convenience store, a laundrette, the University GP and Centre for Wellbeing and other cafes and restaurants within a few minutes’ walk.
