Millennium House
Millennium House can be found right next to the lake on the Stag Hill campus and is adjacent to Yorkies Bridge which offers a quick route into Guildford town centre.
What to expect
You will be sharing with five other students in one flat. Millennium House is one large building housing 34 flats in total.

Location and transport
You can walk to Tesco in about 25minutes via a shared pedestrian and cycle pathway. Surrey Sports Park is located on our Manor Park campus, which is about a 30-minute walk from the Stag Hill campus.
You can also ride the designated University bus routes (1 and 2) from Stag Hill to both Tesco and Manor Park.
The journey takes about seven minutes and buses run up to every 10 minutes through the University campuses on weekdays and every 15–20 minutes on Saturdays and Sundays. The night bus operates six nights per week, Monday to Saturday.
You can either walk 10 minutes into town or take any of the University bus routes which stop at the Friary Bus Station in town.
You will be living directly opposite the GP surgery and Centre for Wellbeing, as well as being right next to our huge lake and just a couple of minutes from the Students’ Union.
You can also find services and facilities such as a laundrette, cafes and restaurants within a few minutes’ walk.

Post and addresses
Reading your room number could be confusing when you first see it, but you will quickly learn what each of the letter and numbers mean.

All mail should have your full name, room and flat number, house name, court name and postcode, which is GU2 7JN.
Students living in Millennium House can collect all parcels and letters from Central Distribution
The opening hours for students to collect post and parcels from Central Distribution are:
- Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm
- Friday 8am to 6pm.

Bedroom and bathroom
All rooms have either carpet or vinyl flooring with a bed, desk, chair, shelves, wardrobe, a mirror and curtains.
All rooms benefit from our free Residents Network (ResNet) service which provides fast and efficient broadband internet access.
All rooms at Millennium House are en-suite. You will have your own private bathroom in your room with its own shower, basin, mirror and toilet.
Kitchen
A fridge, freezer (or fridge-freezer combined), electric kettle, cooker, microwave, toaster, iron and ironing board are provided in each communal kitchen, but you must provide your own cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery.
You will also find a sink, storage space, table and chairs in your kitchen.

There is no reserved space, but there are two cupboards per person in the kitchen.
This is usually more than enough for most students, but if you need more space, you can talk to flatmates about sharing a shelf if needed.
There is no reserved space, but there are usually one or more shelves for each of the people living in the flat. You can talk to your flatmates about using up more space or specific fridge spaces.
All halls at Surrey are self-catered, but there are number of places around our campuses to get food and drink, and Guildford has an excellent range of bars, restaurants and cafes.
