Activities and talks

The February 2021 orientation will consist of live online events that will help answer some of the most common questions that new international students have about life in the UK as well as allowing you to become familiar with the campus and the support services that the University has to offer. Recording of all the online talks below will be made available after the live events.

We know that studying in a different country can be exciting, but also challenging at the same time. The workshop will address these challenges and identify the academic support available to you.

Get advice on how to open a UK bank account, working while you study and paying tax as well as practical tips on how to make the most of your money and take advantage of the many discounts available in the UK.

Cultural awareness is the foundation of communication in an increasingly globalised world. How you perceive yourself, your surroundings and the importance of certain actions will be discussed alongside some advice on how to interact with students and staff from a range of different backgrounds.
