Key collection point on Stag Hill campus

Once you have planned your arrival, make sure you know where you are going to collect your key.

International arrivals (via the Meet and Greet Service)

You may collect your keys from one of our two campus reception. Their locations are as follows:

This includes Battersea, Cathedral, Millennium House, Stag Hill, Surrey, Twyford, University Courts and Hazel Farm.

You can collect your key from Stag Hill reception – based in Senate House ground floor. Opening hours are:

  • Monday to Friday: 8am to 8pm
  • Saturday: 9am to 5pm
  • Sunday: Closed.

Outside of these times, a security officer is on duty at Stag Hill reception who will issue keys and assist you, but please be aware that they patrol the complex so you may have to wait for them to return. Arriving whilst the receptions are open may make moving into your room quicker. Intercoms are available outside the main entrance doors.

Please note that cars can only be parked in the University’s pay and display car park, which can be full at peak times and is chargeable.

You can collect your key from Manor Park reception. Opening hours are:

  • Monday to Friday: 8am to 8pm
  • Saturday: 9am to 5pm
  • Sunday: Closed.

Arriving whilst the receptions are open may make moving into your room quicker. Intercoms are available outside the main entrance doors.

Please note that there is no parking available at Manor Park. There is a small number of spaces at Bellerby Court for permit holders only. There is no visitor parking at either residence. You will be able to park in the University’s pay and display car park on the Stag Hill campus, which can be full at peak times and is chargeable.

Moving-in weekend: 17 and 18 September 2022

This is when most students arrive on campus. If you plan to arrive at this time you must book an arrival slot through your accommodation e-induction.

This includes Battersea, Cathedral, Millennium House, Stag Hill, Surrey, Twyford and University Courts.

  • If you are driving park in the main car parks, following the signs and directions from our staff 
  • If you are not driving or are using public transport, then follow signs or ask for directions to the Austin Pearce building 
  • Take your room confirmation letter to the Austin Pearce building to collect your key. The Austin Pearce building is directly opposite the main car park across the piazza 
  • Drive or walk to your residence building to unload 
  • Once you've unloaded, drive to the campus car parks where you can park for free on the day you move in, but please note that your car must be removed by 11pm at the latest. 

All keys for rooms on the Stag Hill campus will be taken to Stag Hill Reception (ground floor Senate House) after 8pm on Sunday 18 September. If you arrive after this time, please collect your room key from Stag Hill reception.

Saturday 17 September – 8am – 8pm

Keys can be collected from the Kate Granger building, Priestly Road, GU2 7YH.

Saturday 17 September – after 8pm

Keys can be collected from Manor Park reception. Our Security team will be on hand to issue your key – please press the silver button outside reception.

Sunday 18 September – 8am – 5pm

Keys can be collected from the Kate Granger building, Priestly Road, GU2 7YH.

Sunday 18 September – after 5pm

Keys can be collected from Manor Park reception. Our Security team will be on hand to issue your key – please press the silver button outside reception.

You do not need to visit the Stag Hill campus first.

  • Please go straight to Hazel Farm (postcode GU2 9PL) and follow signage when arriving
  • Take your room confirmation letter to the Hazel Farm reception to collect your key
  • After unloading, you can park in any of the spaces provided near the accommodation.

From 5:30pm on Sunday 18 September 2022, all Hazel Farm keys will need to be collected from Stag Hill Reception (ground floor Senate House).

After moving-in weekend: 19 September 2022 onwards

If you are unable to arrive during moving-in weekend in September, you’ll be able to collect your keys as follows:

This includes Battersea, Cathedral, Millennium House, Stag Hill, Surrey, Twyford and University Courts.

Visit the Stag Hill reception at Senate House. There are maps and signs around campus to guide you, or you can download the MySurrey App to get an interactive map of campus on your phone.

You will be able to park in any university car park on the Stag Hill campus, but please pay attention to notices in the car parks regarding charges from Monday 19 September.

Please call security on +44 (0)1483 682002 when you arrive. They will issue the keys to you. Please note, if you arrive out of hours you may have to wait at Manor Park for a member of security staff to return from patrol.
